Media/Broadcasting Advisor

Dick Ferrante is a radio, television, and satellite broadcast veteran with over thirty years of experience in the full spectrum of management assignments in the fields of sales, programming, product merchandising and marketing.

Dick began his career in retail sales at WERE AM Radio in 1971 in Cleveland, Ohio (Metro Market #25). While serving in the capacity of WERE account executive, he began a lifelong friendship and advisory relationship with ITM Chairman and CEO Jack Craciun III, then an account executive for the first commercially successful FM Progressive Radio station in America, WNCR.  Mr. Ferrante departed WERE in 1978 as a top-billing Account Executive for duties at KNEW Oakland/San Francisco, California (Metro Market #4).  He was promoted to General Sales Manager in 1979; under his direction, the Sales Department produced over $1 million net in new billing in one year.

In 1981, Dick accepted the position of West Coast Specialist with Petry Television Representatives, New York, New York.  Working out of San Francisco, he represented fifty-five major market televisions stations including CBS, ABC, NBC affiliates, and large independent TV stations such as KTLA in Los Angeles.  Ferrante specialized in NFL football and NBA basketball, and syndicated and sold feature programs including the coordination and sale of profitable live satellite broadcasts linked to major network TV stations.

Ferrante left Petry Television as its top specialist to accept the General Sales Manager duties at KFRC AM Radio (RKO), Oakland/San Francisco.  In turn-around sales situations, his reorganized sales team averaged over $6 million per year in local, national, and network sales.  And in 1985, RKO requested that he, as the number one executive in the Radio division, represent RKO at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Radio Advertising Bureau Sales Management Seminar.

Ferrante next accepted the position of West Coast Regional Director of Operations and Sales for Metro Traffic Control, a nationwide syndicator of helicopter and fixed-wing traffic reporting in major radio markets with over one thousand station clients nationwide.

Ferrante formed, as Partner, the Powell Associated Radio Representatives Corp., which achieved a three hundred radio station and thirty-five independent TV station primary market client list; and the Mearim V22 Corp., a satellite consulting firm contracted to consult United Video Satellite Group of Tulsa, Oklahoma.  MV22 purchased, sold, supervised installation, and serviced C-band dishes to simulcast religious and sports programs to national broadcast networks.  He consulted the start up of Net Com, the first satellite broadcast group to uplink major network broadcasts of sporting events;  and the Satellite Production Network (SPN), a commercial/advertising production company which offered direct satellite delivery of its services exclusively to radio, television, and cable networks.

Dick holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University of Ohio in Oxford and is also a graduate of the RAB Sales Management Seminar at The Wharton School of Finance, University of Pennsylvania.  Dick was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps in 1963.

Dick Ferrante and ITM Group Chairman, Jack Craciun III, have maintained a professional and personal relationship for forty years.  Their contributions have impacted on many aspects of US and international terrestrial and satellite commercial broadcasting developments.

Since the formation of ITM (Hong Kong) in 1985, and through the present day, Mr. Ferrante has contributed to many of the international accomplishments of the ITM Communications Division.  Working as the ITM Group Media and Broadcasting Advisor in the fields of public relations, marketing, broadcast technology transfer, and product merchandising and branding, Ferrante leadership and international media knowledge has guided the ITM Group in the development and product merchandising programs that constitute the ITM Consumer Product Division, its eCommerce sales programs, and international product branding objectives.
